Since STI has ceased doing business in California, thought I might help take up at least one piece of the pie. :) Quickly becoming a big fan of the .38 Super and I was wondering if anyone has chrono data comparing the two barrel lengths.
I've seen a major improvement in 10mm velocities with the 6" barrel and I expect the same will be true with slower burning powders in .38 Super.
I spend a lot of time outdoors where 50yd shots wouldn't be that uncommon w/o cover if the need arises. In the past ten days or so I've had two encounters with packs of feral dogs and I already know how quick target acquisition and rate of fire is with the 5" platform. :)
With a little luck, may try the Trojan at 100yds and see how its accuracy compares with a 6" M686. :D
