Have been watching reports on the pistol and found one in local shop (USA) that looked new and unfired. Had two mags with it and it was on consignment for $239.00.

Took it to the range, fired 185 gr wad cutters and 230 gr ball. No malfunctions. Used the two Norinco mags, a WWII mag and a metalform mag and all worked.

Taking the gun completely down and seeing every part milled reminded me of taking down a WWI era colt. It was as much fun seeing all of those milled parts as it was shooting it. All groups were one ragged hole.

I guess Springfield Armory and some other manufacturers should be glad they are banned in the USA from further import because it is certainly a value.

Yes and Norinco sells outside of N.A. enhanced models as well. We can get the NP 29 which is the 1911 in 9MM which from what I have seen is a step up from their mil-spec guns. The A1's now being imported here are much improved over the ones you guys are buying in the US. All three of mine just put the bullets where the gun is pointing and I have yet to have a FTF in over three years. The comment about US arms industry not wanting the Norincos imported into the US probably has more truth in it then you realize.
