I am going to have a Delta Elite converted from 10mm to .357 Sig. Do I need to use a ramped barrel or is a standard Colt setup fine for this caliber? If I need the ramped barrel, which style do I want (Clark/Para vs Nowlin/Wilson)? This gun will be a dedicated .357. Thus, keeping the ability to fire 10mm is not an issue. I am only concerned with what will be the best setup for the Sig caliber.

I really have no idea where you can locate a barrel. I would think any of the barrel manufactures would be of help. Kart, Schuemann or Barsto come to mind. Any of these gentlemen would give you top notch advice and they have always answered the phone when I have called. There are many others, of course. I always like to get advice from the manufacturer, if possible. A couple of calls to them may turn up the barrel you are looking for. Read through Mr. Schuemann's site. Lot of info to help you make up your mind.

Just checked Barsto's site. They list a Colt pattern barrel in .357 Sig. Ramped or unramped. According to Mr Schuemann, the Clark/Para ramp will be the strongest as far as the bottom lugs are concerned. I would call Irv and get his recommendation.

I'm working on a 357 sig project now. I got a Bar-Sto barrel for my up-coming 10mm Eclipse Custom II. In my limited search I only found 2 manufacturers that listed a 357 Sig barrel for a 1911 type pistol. One was Bar-Sto and I can't remember the other. They were found in a search at Midway.com. Unfortunately I haven't received my Eclipse yet, I guess they're taking extra care in it's production. I'll post the results if I ever get this done.

I have an Ed Brown barrel for my DE, but I don't think they list one any more.

Mine is a ramped barrel. It is very sensitive to bullet type. I have a few loads that are good, but over all, I would not try it again.
