TLE/RL Barrel

While cleaning my new TLE I noticed that on the underside of the barrel near the barrel link is very rough and abrasive, not polished like the rest of the barrel. Is the barrel supposed to be like this, or did someone at Kimber forget to polish the rest of the barrel ? Could this affect the accuracy of the gun ?

The underside of the barrel does have a rough finish, just as the spaces between the lugs (not up on the technical terminology) have a rough finish. This does not affect the accuracy. Now, when I say this, I'm assuming that you are speaking of the outside of the barrel. If you are actually refering to the bore, then it's a whole nother ball game.
