Hi All,
I am interested in buying a RIA 1911 mid size model. Are there any online shops that carry them?

Not easy to find. You'll have to watch the boards, gun shows, and Gun Broker, etc. The mid-size is not currently in production. Per a conversation I had with Ivan this week, it will be several months to a year before there are new mid-size are available.

Sounds good. I'll have money for one by then. Heck! I got it now. LOL. I thought about getting the compact, but I don't want to buy more mags for another pistol. If I buy more, I want it to fit both pistols.

Urban Tiger,

Agree w/ you there! Mid size or commander size is the way to go. I have a colt compact and it is not as fun to shoot compared to its bigger siblings.
Also, this is where I shop and they are based in Lewisville. Not to far from us and their service is excellent. Talk to Becky http://sportingarms.com/index.asp
