What is the FPS? Why are people relieving it? Is there a thread with pictures?

Go to the gunsmithing sticky threads, open the one that begins, "Amazing reduction.."

It usually mean Firing Pin Stop. I have seen it occasionally mean Firing Pin Safety, which refers to the Series 80 system or the Swartz firing pin safeties. You have to determine from context, though it usually is Firing Pin Stop.
For the one which you are most likely referring to follow sevenL4's directions and all shall be revealed.

The EGW "over-sized" firing pin stop can be used, with some minor modification, to reduce percieved recoil. The reason for it's ability to do so, and how to do the modification (in detail) is gone over in this thread.
If you have any further questions i'd be happy to try and answer them.
