Let see if I can get this right:My hammer strut sitting in the rear of the trigger(hammer down) always favors the right side of the hammer also see more wear on the hammer face top right side just above the mark wear the dimple mark is on the firing pin.
I would think the hammer strut should sit center equal between the hammer slot>
I would think the hammer is drilled a tad of center on the right side wear the hammer pin goes threw?
any thoughts on the subject

There's nothing to keep the strut centered in its slot. If all 3 holes are drilled true (perpendicular to the surface), the strut probably finds itself located anywhere in its slot. It'll have 0.009 to 0.019 inch of total clearance to wander.

If your hammer is cockeyed in the frame, it's due the hammer pin hole being drilled cockeyed in either the hammer or the receiver (or maybe both).

If your hammer is not cockeyed in the frame, the wear marks you see on the hammer could result from the slide being cockeyed on the frame!

Is the hammer relieved on the sides or flat profiled? If the rubbing is an issue and all the pins/holes are square, you can relieve the hammer sides .010 on each side. Just on the portion above the radius of the hammer. Greg
