O.K., Here's the deal. Last year, I decided to build a chopped 1911. I had a spare frame (C.p.fa.mfg), and cut it down to work with Detonics mags. The only thing I need now is a slide to fit a 3.5" Defender barrel.
Please, would one of you kind souls measure your Defender slide for me? Overall length, and length from rear of the slide to recoil spring plug shroud? I am attempting to determine if I could chop a Commander slide to Defender dimensions, without first purchasing a commander slide. If anyone else is considering a similar project, remember that it is about to cause me to have a brain anuerism. I thank you in advance for your help.
