Recently receieved a 1911 with no marking save the letters E.P. on the right side of the slide. Serial numbers on the frame, slide and barrel all match. Other than those markings there are none. Original owner said he got it in Paraguay, approx. 1940-45 time frame. Did Government contract work on heating and air conditioning. Anyone have any ideas on history?? Possible USGov. contract gun?? Any info would be appreciated.
