Does anybody have a .40 S&W conversion kit in his/her Norinco? Experiences, suggestions, opinions? THUD.-

Don't know of any conversion kits, but you should be able to swap out the barrel & slide for a .40 one. I'm trying to build up a 1911 10mm using a stainless safari arms frame. I've bought a sti 40/10mm/38super slide and am looking for a drop in barrel/bushing to go with it. It's doable.

It's not always that easy. Frequently, the frame feedramp on 1911's chambered in 45 ACP is cut deeper into the magwell and at a steeper angle than on those originally chambered for 9mm, 38 Super, 40 S&W, or 10mm. Putting a smaller caliber top end on such a 45 frame may result in a gun that will not feed reliably.

Hey Stans, do You have any experience with the Norinco 9mm conversion kit? I'm thinking in buying one for my Norc 1911. What do You think of it?

Why not .400 Corbon?
