Roe45, The Colt Night Officers II was a Limited Edition/Custom Shop piece subcontracted by Lew Horton from Colt. Lew Horton actually had three separate runs of the Night Officers made.
Night Officers I 350 made in 1993 issue price of $680
Night Officers II 100 made in 1994 issue price of $829
Night Officers III 200 made in 1996 issue price of $810
Hope this helps some. :)

Correct me if I'm wrong. Night Officers are Officers Model with nightsights and that's all there is, right?

It does have night sights and has teh full grip. Wow thanks for the info. I got a great price on it and now that I know it is one of 100 I think I will just make it a safe queen.

I suppose what someone is willing to pay for it. I found two on gunbroker listed for a lot of pennies. I also searched of gunsamerica and auction arms but found no results.
Here are the two on gunbroker.

Whew! With those prices i'm starting to think that the one in my local gun shop is priced accordingly. They wanted in the $750 range for a used (with about 90% blued finish) Night Officer, with the "squarish" sights.

I saw one in a pawn shop in the SW almost two years ago, NIB, for $999. I checked the I-net at the time and found NIB ones for $995. Interesting guns but I am not Bill Gates and am more into Gold Cups and other things.

The original Night Officer I own is pictured below. These are essentially a Commander frame with an Officer's slide and barrel so you have 7 shots instead of 6. For me, it's pretty close to a Colt Defender and balances well.

This is #151 of 350.

Saw a Night Officer in stainless at the Fun Show last weekend for $1299. Definately not NIB. Same dealer had it back in April for that price. I'm thinking he will still have it next year. Maybe next show I should make him an offer, but I doubt he will go under $1K.

FlameRed, Here's one that has 3 hours left on gunbroker. Starting bid at $675, without a single response. I think you're right about the "dealer" at the "fun show" still having his around at the next one ;). For that price you could buy TWO!
