Hopefully, I'm asking this in the right forum. Does anyone know where I can get a set of inexpensive Walnut 1911 grips? The kind that look like what the older Colts used to come with...something like this:

I know that a vendor was selling them for $6.99 at one point, I just can't remember who. Any leads would be apprecaited. Thanks!

Thanks for the lead...I checked there and didn't see it under the 1911 Grips section. Is it somewhere else on their site? Here's where I was looking:

You were in the right place. Their selection has been reduced considerably since I last looked. I know CDNN is (was) the source, because (a) that's their packaging in your photo, and (b) I have a pair of the same grips and I know that's where I bought them.

No problem Hawkmoon, Norton was kind enough to sell me a set of his. Thanks folks!

Curiously enough, I just received a new CDNN printed catalog, and those grips ARE in the catalog. They must have sold out fairly recently.

Listed as out of stock. Look under Colt grips to find them.

I have two sets of those grips, and they are certainly worth $10, but I got another set, with Brownells logo on them, that are of better wood, better finished, and with sharper checkering. The checkering is 16lpi, which I think is correct for older Colts. I suspect they are quite a bit more expensive, but perhaps worth it.
