My Kimber Custom II is a fine and accurate pistol...however, peridocially it will fail to fully return to battery - getting hung or at least slowed to a stop by the firing pin safety and disconnect (I think - ?; the two gizmos on the top of the frame that intereact with the slide).
Anyway, they do not block the slide from returning, but slow it down so that when it meets the resistance of the round being stripped from the mag it comes to a stop with the round 3/4 way into the chamber...
