Thanks to all who responded to my earlier post re: itches and stuff. You guys (intentionally or unintentionally) eroded the last bit of self control I had left. I needed to be helped with a little push over the edge.
I ended up buying a Baer blued Concept VII with night sights. I gave the TRS some serious thought but I really wanted a Commander length barrel and the only TRS I could get in a reasonable time was a full size gun. I was also not sure I wanted to shell out the extra few hundred $$$ when (at least by the specs I found) there does not seem to be much, if any, significant differences between the guns other than the 5th SF flash and lightening bolt engraving on slide and stocks.
I must admit - please don't be pissed - that I also gave a Ed Brown Kobra Carry more than a passing thought. My FFL friend in town thought I got a great deal on the Baer and has warned me that it will be <6months before I am figuring out how to wrangle another Baer. He tells me that my Kimber will begin to look crude and that I am now on a slippery slope to financial ruin.
I sent off the money this morning via overnight mail and hope to have my gun in less than a week. Details to follow.....
cheers all
