I just recently got a 1991-A1 Compact (Officers), in mint condition. The problem I'm having is? when I disasembled the pistol. The link pin underneath the barrel falls out  . When I reassembled the pistol, I put 100rds through it again. with no malfuntions of any kind. I disassambled it again. The pin fell out. Is this normal?

You can just peen an edge of the link/pin area.....or it might be an opportunity to buy a new link and pin if you like.

I agree with Paul, I would just peen the link hole just a shade on both sides. That will hold the pin in place.

What do you guys mean by "peen"? Just tap on it with something to flare the edges?

Yes get you a punch and put a dimple at the edge of the pin where it meets the link. One or two on each side should do the trick.

I would follow Paul's advice and buy a new link and correctly sized pin. Even if you do peen the link and pin, the link will still be over sized and the pin under, eventually, you'll wallow out the hole in the link.

I agree with Paul45. I have witnessed this fix on one of his MKIV OACP and heck it shoots as good as any Government Model I have shot..... :bed:
