View Full Version : Rubber grips that go under original wood?

My father has always wanted a 1911, one of the few pistols he's never owned. I bought him a RIA .45 tactical yesterday (I now own 2, and he'll have 1 - I feel they are a fantastic firearm for the money!).

Anyway... I digress :)

I'd like to outfit it with a few minor changes - one being finger grips. I didn't want one of the hogue slip-ons, as it covers the woodwork (and I've got some cool custom bits for his). I remember seeing a few guys had finger grips that installed under the original furniture, but I can't find them. Any help would be appreciated!

Also, where is the best place to pick up some more magazines?

Many thanks!
James

I put these on all 4 of my 1911's. Best $10 you can spend on them....

Get the rubber and good wood grain.

They got here yesterday. I had to trim a little rubber off the right side at the top of the grip panel and over the magazine release.

Still waiting for some moisture in the weather to go try them out. Dangerously dry around here to for shooting almost anywhere other than an organized range. We don't have many of those near us.
