I know most prefer questions are for the individual, but I was wondering what grips were preferred more on my new Kimber full size custom II. Wooden check vs rubber/plastic chkerd. Wooden Smooth vs rubber with finger grooves. I like the classic look but can I shoot better with a different grip? Thanks for any suggestions.

Hottunaman, why don't you try both? I have a set of Esmeralda's smooth grips with the rubber finger groove from Midway. They work great together.

Grips are easy to change if not real cheap. Only you know what you shoot with best.

it really depends on the shooter. found out i like wood better compared to rubber or plastic.

I would rather shoot with a nice checkering pattern and I loved the walnut grips that came with my SA but when carrying concealed the factory grips were eating up my right love handle so I had to swap in some smooth grips.
