I use S&A cocobolo grips on my 1911. Everytime I remove the grips, there are stains around the grip bushings. My frame is hard chrome. What is this??? is the cocobolo grip absorbing acidity through the wood? and transfering it to the frame? or are these wood stains? are cocobolo grips wood stained?
do put oil in between the wood grip and frame ? or do you screw em dry?
