Has anyone ever heard of having to use a 9mm slide stop in a 45acp?? A slide stop for the 45 allows the the magazine followers to go past the pad of the stop and will not lock the slide stop open. This has happened with 3 different brand magazines. A local smith said he has had to do this before. The slide stop for the 9mm/38super has a longer pad. Thanks

I've never had to do it myself but I have heard of others doing it. If the .45 slide stop doesn't reach into the frame far enough to engage the magazine follower then a 9mm/.38 Super slide stop probably will.
