Finally found a Blued Commander at out local Caswells shop. It was even on sale from $728 down to $688. AZ is a happy camper! It's one of the tightest out of the box COLTS I have felt too. No typical rattle. Can't wait to shoot it.

Very nice Commander - I know you'll like it. I picked up one just like it about a year ago and it's been flawless. Great trigger too. Unfortunately, mine wasn't on sale! Good job hunting down a great deal. Cheers.

I'd like to take credit for seeking out the best deal, but the truth is, I had made up my mind that I was going to buy the first one I found, regardless of price. I just happened to get lucky on the sale. I'd rather be lucky than good! Hope my luck carries over to the Powerball drawing tonight! :)

Those all look good. I've held several Commanders, but never bought one. Steve, your 4091 pic looks a lot better than Davidson's does......

And yes, these pics make sleep difficult...

Beautiful Colts RVS!!! Curious: is that an aftermarket GS on the 04691U? I ask b/c i thought the 1991 Commanders came with the "standard" (don't know the name) GS, not a BT. How bout the trigger...who makes that?
Again, very, very nice!!

First off, thanks to everyones' complimentary comments on my Colts and meager photography efforts.

Eli,
I think you meant the 04091U stainless. If so, the grip safety is what came with the pistol, as is the trigger. I would have preferred it if the folks at Colt had made the stainless gun identical to the 04691, but they decided to include some "enhanced" features, so that is what you see.

O.K., my fault. From the picture it looked like a commander; those "angled pics" are always tricky ;) .
Thanks for clarifying RVS.

Thanks for the additional pics Jeff!
