While shopping for a new GC Trophy I noticed this Colt Commander. It looked great and the only change I have made is to put some cheap (19.98 from Midway) grips on it to preserve the wonderful double diamond wood grips that came with the pistol. I have put about 150 rounds of 230g hardball through it and a friend put 50 rounds of 230 Win. hollowpoint. No malfunctions. Both my friend and I were able to put rounds in a 4 inch circle at 25 yards despite outside shooting with lots of wind and some rain.

I am right handed. No need for an ambi safety and why have a paddle? I don't need a flab gaurd er "beavertail". I don't need a flgr. On and on. This gun is perfect and that is the way it is going to stay.

The cost was $750 + local tax. I like to look before I buy and almost never buy over the I-net. People who know me laugh as I make my living with puters.

Anyway here is my latest toy, soon to become my next carry.

That is a beautiful Colt. They really know how to make them in Hartford.
What about the homeless GCT though?

You'd better start filling out the adoption papers Hunter, you can't be leaving any unadopted GCT's out there. Either you adopt it yerself or loan yer skirt to Sally Struthers and get her to pitch the adoptions on TV! ;)

Very nice...............but I think I can hear the GCT crying.............it really needs to be adopted.

Nice pistol, but you're adding to my frustration. I've been trying to find a blued Commander here locally and have come up empty so far. I have a line on one from out of state but have 1 more place to try before I go that route.

Cool Commander. I saw one just like it at cheaper than dirt today. The wanted over $800.00 for it.
