I came across this link will it get me threw the process without any problems?
I would like to clean and re-oil all parts on my 1911 SA maybe it will improve my trigger pull a tad:
I know how to field stip to clean but never got into the handle frame part.
We have our own, very detailed instructions on how to do a complete detail strip of the M1911, including pictures. They can be found on the Forum main page. Hopefully those will offer you some better guidance on full disassembly and reassembly of your M1911.

It is extremely easy... One thing I advise that geos against what all the instructions I have seen is to save the grip safety for last.. Slide the Main Spring Housing halfway on.. This will hold the sear spring in place and you dont have to worry about it binding... Every written direction I have seen has you install the gripsafety and have to hold it down while you do other things..

Between the linked instructions, the M1911.org instructions, and the instructions I wrote up (http://how-i-did-it.org/detail-1911/), you should be pretty well covered.

It should be noted that the link provided by Flint is for a Kimber Series II and a few of the steps apply ONLY to that type of 1911.
It should also be noted that when disassembling a Springfield M1911 equipped with their ILS mainspring housing, added care needs to be applied in order to "capture" the mainspring inside the housing before driving out the MSH pin. One needs to cock the hammer, and by using either the bent pin provided with the pistol or even a nail, slip it into the hole at the upper right corner of the MSH (looking at the gun from the rear), then release the hammer. This will "trap" the mainspring inside the MSH and allow you to safely drive out the MSH pin and remove the MSH itself.
Trust me when I say "safely". I split my forehead and nearly lost an eye when my "untrapped" MSH came shooting out like a rocket when I drove out the pin.

Today I installed the new 23 lbs spring in the SA MSH and was very simple project,I also seem to reduce my trigger pull by a pound total trigger pull now it 4lbs on the break.
I spoke with dave over at berryhill his views were also to upgrade the recoil slide spring with a wolf 16 lbs and also change the firing pin spring to a heavy duty wolf spring.
I will waite on the firing pin spring hate to change to many things at one time.
