Date of New Rollmark

I have two Colt Delta Elites, one stainless and one blued which I had refinished. The previous owner had stored it in a holster and sadly the poor thing had some pitting.

Anyway, the stainless has a new rollmark while the blued has the old rollmark.

Can anyone point me to a link or explain to me the rollmark change and when it took place? Was it done across the board to all models or for different models at different times? I'd like to get some dates on the guns without paying Colt large amounts for money for authentication.

call colts customer service and give them the serial number of the colts and they tell u the year of the manufacture
