Quality of colt ace 2 conversion????

My local store has a colt ace 2 .22 cal conversion,Price is around $400.00 is this a fair price for this kit?and also what is the quality of it?thanks larry :p

I have one and the fit and finish are excellent, like everything else Colt made years ago. I use it on a series 70 Gold Cup and from a distance you can't tell it wasn't made as a complete gun at Colt. I have shot it very little and it works just fine. You do have to keep it clean or it will malfunction. Some 22 ammo is pretty dirty, I was using some DCM white box stuff that I think was made by Winchester, similar to T-22. I don't know what they sell for today, I bought mine about 20 years ago for $200. That is something else I should get out and shoot when it warms up a little.
