Hello, my large hands and long fingers make any firearm a challenge to grip well. I have walnut, hogue slab and wraps with finger grooves, pachymer wraps, and stock grips; and I use them with one of three different thickness aluminum spacers: .063, .031, and .0?. I haven't decided which feels best yet, but I do know that I would like longer grip screws for use with the spacers, and I cannot find them. Just for extra discussion, I cannot find the standard .150 x 50 tpi screws listed in any hardware or machining catalogs either.
Any leads on long screws?

I also have big paws.... I have used the spacers too... Your standard screws should be just fine... With standard grips, almost the entire length of the screw is threaded into the bushing.... Backing it out a turn or two for the spacers, should still leave plenty of screw still in the bushing...

As far as longer screws goes, I think you are stuck with what is out there... If you feel like being a detective, you could find out who makes the screws for the different companies(Wilson, Brown, etc..) and call them directly... Ask if they ever have screws that are out of spec... We order hundreds of thousands of specialty screws at work, and we have quite a pile of "bad" ones... Sometimes you can have them make you up a few special ones for cheap, as long as they don't have to change much... Changing the length of a screw they are already making is not that tough to do... You might have to buy several sets though... (If you do, count me in for one or two...)
