Does anybody own the Laser grips and what do you think?

I have the Crimson Trace sight on a 70 repro. I believe it is easier and faster to hit with these than iron or night sights, reason being that there is only one thing to look for: that red dot. No out of focus sights or target to deal with. You can shoot from the hip, or any other position where you cannot clearly see iron sights, and have confidence you will hit the target. They are very easy to adjust and once adjusted, stay that way. I set mine to hit just a little high, because the sights tend to obscure the dot a little if the iron and laser sight are set to the same point of impact, and it takes a while to train yourself to ignore the iron sights and just pull the trigger if the dot is on target. Malfunction, batteries dead? Your backup is on your slide.
They will, however, possibly give your position away in a dangerous situation if you deploy them too quickly. And will bring irate people to your door if you accidently light up the neighbors, or worse, any law enforcement officers. A little prudence goes a long way, though, and these two faux pas are easily avoided.
Laser sights are just the thing for tired old eyes, and a fitting addition for any firearm, in my opinion.

Not sure I should post because I have not range tested it yet, with that said I put Crimson Trace grips on a Gold Cup. Because of age it's really hard to see the front sight in good lighting and almost impossible in poor lighting. At a range I can put glasses on but that also ruins my vision when looking down range, but for defensive purpose I'm sure I'm not going for my glasses. It's not a substitute for iron sights, but I think it's a great tool for point shooting. It has also helped in my dry fire practice, and I use video to tape what I'm doing right or wrong. I use video with my glasses on not for POI but to see what I'm doing with trigger control etc..

I use Crimson Trace laser grips on my full size Wilson Combat and find them to be both accurate and durable.
I mostly like using them for training, while dry firing at home and working on my trigger pull. To-date, I used them with 2,000+ rounds and they work just as well as when I got them.
While carrying, they fit well in my holster i.e. gun is snug and they don't interfere with drawing or go off unintentionally. also I like the extra knowledge of backup during low light or night carry.
Overall, I highly recommend them for both training and carry.
