I know that a few of the guys around here like to dress up their 1911's with fancy grips, so I'm curious that I haven't seen any Nills. They're big with the Sig guys, although they look awesome on a 1911, if you ask me. Pricey, but then again, that doesn't seem to stop some of us! Any pics of guns with Nills lying around that I've missed?

Is there currently a US distributor? In the past Nill Distributors seem to have found Nill a bit hard to work with. I know two companies who imported them and dropped them because they found Nill to be more trouble than he was worth.

Hi, if you check my icon above, you'll see their palm-swell walnut, all-weather grips. The checkering is amazing, easy on clothing but "sticky" when wet. About their only drawback is that they need relief for the MSH pin, which is covered (it does feel better against the heel of the hand, I admit). Apart from that, they are superb. I will post some photos of their even-more impractical target grips when my new Baer arrives...

They also make some of the best J-frame grips available, but only fit Pythons and Officers models for Colt revolvers. For reasons only known to Swiss Euro-crats, they only ship outside the EU once a month, but their inventory is always up-to-date. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather wait six weeks for grips that exist, than six weeks for someone to start making my order...

The grips look nice. I'd really like to see some of their crazier target-oriented grips, though. Or the "master" grips (IIRC) which double as a mag funnel.

Best way to go is to order directly-- http://www.nill-griffe.com/. Being their distributer wouldn't be much fun, I agree. But as a customer, it is fine. Besides, they will make the grips you mention bespoke for you, so you will need to talk directly...

I have a pair of less extravagant target grips from them, no pics yet...

But you could fit a guide rod up like a spear-gun, in her. :D

Thanks a lot... Those grips look amazing! The color & texture of the wood, the stippling, the shape...

Too bad I only (only?) have a 2011 STI, on which the "stocks" are really part of the grip. Almost makes me want to get a normal 1911 just to have somewhere to park those grips!
