Hello all,
I am looking at swapping out the factory barrell bushing on my Kimber Custom II for a much tighter fitting one from EGW. Unfortunately, I don't have any precision measuring tools, so I don't think I can accurately acquire the dimensions they require.

Could anyone that has purchased one of these for their Custom II post the dimensions they used? Pictures and the flange type you selected would be great as well.

On a side note, is there any reason I shouldn't switch out the loose factory bushing for one of these?

Much thanks :)

I'd try to get a good measurement locally - maybe a school connection? Failing that and given that only the top half is involved - no frame - I'd send the slide and barrel and let George measure or fit it or I wouldn't bother.

I can't think of a reason not swap bushings if you want to. That assumes you have fired the pistol extensively and find the performance including accuracy disappointing. There is certainly no reason to fix something you yourself might think is already perfect.
