I have a brand new Spartan which shoots real nice. The Novak mags work great. I am having a bit of trouble with a few Wilson Combat mags that I picked up last week. They feed fine but they do not fall free out of my Spartan when the mag release button is pushed. They look like they are rubbing on the leading (rounded) edge. Anybody else having this problem?
Thanks.

Holling,
So that you won't get the idea that you're being ignored, I will address your question. When I tested the Spartan for the M1911.ORG E-zine, I used the supplied magazines plus two Wilson mags, which are the only ones I own with extended base pads. Both Wilson mags dropped free when the magazine catch was depressed, but since both of these magazines need new springs, I only used them sparingly. These mags are also due for replacement of the followers.
Try to really inspect the areas that you think are rubbing on the Wilsons. See if their dimensions seem different than the factory magazines.
Sorry that I can't be of more help. :(

Thanks, I figured people ignore the new guy. I'll spec out both mags.
