Info from Colt Customer Service, True or False?

I have Series 80 1991A1s with serial numbers between 2734XXX and 2780XXX. The Customer Service representative told me that these pistols were made in about 1994 and that Colt did not use either cast or MIM parts until about the year 2000. I was previously under the impression that my extractors and maybe sears and disconnectors were cast or MIM. Does anyone have knowledge to confirm or dispute what I was told?

False. I have a 1991 Commander. Grip safety, disconnector, and magazine release are definately MIM. Sear and extractor were real steel.
