Picked this up used today. Paid $425. Very lightly used. Made in 2001 in the Phillipines and is the short barrel model. Will be putting rounds through it Monday.

Not sure if this impulse buy was a good deal or not, the guy that traded it in was doing so as I lingered close by...once he conclude his deal with the Store owner I moved in and staqrted haggeling with him. Only down side I can see is the magazines are pricey, I am not sure if my Chip McCormiks will fit it or not...comments apprecaited.

Your lucky that you found a compact, they are getting very rare. I have a Rock compact and I love it and carry it everyday. That should tell you something about the gun. Good luck and Good shooting, welcome to the forum

Nice gun there but from what I can see your gun looks like the mid sized daly. If that is the case it will take the full size 1911 magazines. It certainly looks in nice shape looking forward to hearing your range report!!! :D :D

Thanks. Taking it to the range at lunch time today. I field stripped it last night and applied Gun Butter as is my standard practice now a days and in the process loaded up a Chip McCormick magazine in it with no problems so I expect no issues with feeding it.
From the lack of wear I think that the information I recieved as to it being a Safe Queen is accurate. There is some pitting on the exterior but none on the inner workings. I will post additonal feed back after the range trip.

Sweet purchase. I have the exact same gun (EMS). Any standard full size mag works. When I sent mine back for a problem (great customer service by the way) they replaced the old mags with MecGar mags as a bonus. No problems with those so far. I think I need to replace the mag springs at this point however. Wolf has them.

Took her out and poured 75 rounds through her with absolutly no issues, all rounds went through as smooth as silk. Accurate at 14 yards to the extent I would expect with a short barrel....I am totaly satisfied with the performance.
