Just had to pass on this information about a beautiful Ignition set I bought from another forum Member who owns Berryhill Custom.

If you like the look of the classic Commander hammer ........then you will love the Counter-sunk design being sold by Berryhill custom.

It is a beautiful piece of art-work , and finished tastefully. The sides of the hammer are chamfered ever so slightly to avoid any problems with rubbing on the frame. When I took it out of the plastic bag, it looked like an expensive piece of jewelry. The counter-sunk hole in the hammer looks great and the serrations cut into the top are sharp and clean.

Dave was a joy to deal with ........going out of his way to see I got the parts in time. He also was worried that the Sear spring that I had might not give optimum performance with his ignition set, so he threw in a new Wolf Sear Spring - No charge !! I can't thank Dave enough for caring about my project as much as I do.

I know many of these gun parts dealers don't actually make the parts that they sell ....................but what is important [ to me ] is that they sell only quality parts that they themselves would use in their guns. I think Dave is such a guy. He was willing to take extra time going over some technical aspects of my project, so I wouldn't run into too much trouble.

If you need or want this type hammer design for your next project - give Dave Barryhill a shout .....he will fix you up with a beauty !!

A photo or link to see the beautiful piece of art would be helpful in assessing the design.

is a real beauty. And Dave makes them in two versions, one with the hammer hooks unprepped and one in which he preps the hooks for you.

Sniper purchased one of my new hammers , the Ultimate Ring Hammer
http://www.berryhillguns.com/ultringham.jpg

I still sell the ring hammers that John posted pics of and they are very good quality. I still use that hammer for the MEU(SOC) replicas and BFP packages. The Ultimate hammers are premium parts that are EDM and CNC machined and are comparable to the premium ignition parts sold by some of the big gunsmithing shops.

I've got it in two versions - the chamfered hammer on the right has a countersunk hole and a small chamfer around the edge. The classic version on the left has only a small countersink in the hole. For those who want a very traditional appearance, this version looks similar to the original Colt Commander hammer.

I have read numerous posts praising Dave's work and personality as excellent, he is also an esteemed member of this site.
