Well, I finally made it to the range to break in the new Kimber. I gathered up whatever .45 ammo I had laying around from the last time I went shooting, and picked up a few boxes of some other stuff as well. I ended up putting through about 200 rounds of Seller & Bellot 230grain. Then another 200 rounds of some Remington (i think it was 185grain) were gobbled up. Then probably about 20ish rounds of Federal Hydra-Shok 230grain, and 20ish rounds of Speer Gold-dot.

It was quite a day, and quite a workout for the Kimber. And through the entire time... I had no FTE... but I had 2 failures to load.... both instances were with the Remington ammunition... about the last round in the magazine. I tend to think it might be partially caused by the flatter nosed shape of the bullet. Then again, maybe it was just starting to get thirsty for a little lube. All in all, it was a good time, and there was very little left of my target.

I also realized, I need to go shooting more. I am too out of practice.
