As hard as i've tried to find it on their site, i cannot find an explanation (by Colt) of the "O" package. I'm considering it as an option anyway, on a 1991 Commander (can't afford Yost-Bonitz ;) ). I found the "custom features" section (it's hard to miss) but all it talks about really is engraving. I'm hoping some of you knowledgable Colt owners out there can help. Thanks

O package can be found in Colt's new catalog:
http://www.coltsmfg.com/cmci/downloads/ColtMfg%20Catalog_rev2007-02.pdf
Page 14 (16 of 20) in the middle of the "Colt Custom Packages". They don't list a price but I think it is around $375 give or take $20 and I believe it can be added to if you want more features. To get actual prices from colt you need to speak to the Custom Shop and they will give you a quote. I have heard turn around time to be around 35 days.

Go to:
"Media"
Then download the 2007 catalog (it is a big file, I recommend Highspeed connection)
It is on Page 14 of 20.
We have also discussed it quite a bit here in the last few months, there is actually more information here than in the catalog.

Yeah their site leaves a lot to be desired.
Btw, OD* told me that Colt offers two different dehorning options. Iirc, one is done by hand, and the other is a machined job. Send him a PM and he can fill you in on the details.

Thanks for all the input gents! I've had me eye on this one b/c it's a good bit cheaper than going with a real high-end package from one of the custom crews. Someday i'll have a YoBo package done to a Colt...but in the meantime, i'll get the "O" ;)

Yeah, my buddy and i were talking about this one...the Colt site; i guess their name speaks for itself (i.e., they don't really need to spend alot of effort on their site), cuz the site is a little weak. No offense to Colt...i'd just like a bit more info.
I'll give the downloadable catalogue a try (i've never acutally seen a "print" version...maybe it's time i order one).

I'd be curious to see the price difference between the two "dehorning" processes. I wonder how much more the "hand-blended" version is? I'm on to contacting OD...
Thanks again

I'm interested too. Any way this info could be posted, the differences in processess, price and pics? Seems like it would be easier than a bunch of PM's.
Regards, Sean.
