Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about Randall brand products...

I found this one

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=73947&item=7137968226&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

on ebay and wonder if it will fit my RIA GI Spec, and whether it would be a hard install...

Thanks!

It could fit, but most parts require some fitting. I don't think that is designed to be installed without the frame eing modified.

Also, "buyer beware" on e-bay. The name "Wilson" is not the same as "Wilson Combat". The same may be true on the name "Randall".
Check shipping costs too.

IMO, I would rather buy from a reputable gun part supplier.

Stumbler,

Thanks for your quick reply- you have helped me out quite a bit, and I appreciate it!

Now to find a cheap drop in high quality beavertail in a matte black finish! ;)

Any idea of anyone that makes such a beast? :)

(In a whisper....) Check www.brownells.com (http://www.brownells.com) for "Drop in grip safety"

There is a thread running somewhere here these days, about a drop-in beavertails. The one from Wilson Combat seems to be a very nice fit, looking very good. Do a search for it and have a look for yourself. I was surprised to see how nice they fit on a standard pistol, the ones I've seen some years ago, left a lot to be desired.

I bought one of these from this same guy on eBay for my Randall A131. It was a genuine Randall part and fit perfectly. I don't like buying pistol parts from sellers on eBay either, but original Randall parts are damned scarce! This guy is ok and has some pretty good stuff. Go for it!
