Looking at refinishing my RIA 1911. What options do I have? So far I know of the duracoat.

Anyone have any experience using this or something similar? How well did the finish hold up? Considering going with a black & tan setup, and curious how easy/difficult it is to apply at home, or is it worth sending out to a place to finish for me, which I would really rather not do. :) TIA.
