STI has a magwell for 45 dollars plus shipping. Kimber provides a magwell for $74.95 and they will install and fit it to the pistol in their shop. Clark custom will fit your pistol with a magwell provided that it's a recognized brand name 1911 in good condition. The price depends on the model and type of 1911.

Enjoy safe shooting!

I’ve tried several brands of wells and found I liked Smith & Alexander best. Even Springfield and Kimber seem to think pretty highly of them as both use SA mag wells on some models.

Greetings,
For competition, I'd use an STI. They're as big as they come, I believe. For range use or carry, I'm a big fan of the Smith & Alexander type magwells. I prefer Les Baer magwells over S&A, however, due to its 2-piece design, which allowes the shooter to remove the magwell as he pleases, quite easily.

I just took a look at the STI web site and did not see a weg well listed for single stack guns.
Is this something new?

I would like to see the STI Magwell for SS.

S&A very Nice -

I Prefer the Ed Brown Maxi-Well (I Liked the Wedge which is not being offered any more)

My gunsmith just beveled the mag wells that the guns were made with. Both my Commander and my Springfield work well that way.
