I have a colt custom 1911, model #01070EUCC. I googled the model number and got "no matching results". It is stainless, walnut grips, dehorned, bead blasted on top of the slide, 3 dot white, dove-tail, low profile sites. All the usual custom features. "Colt Custom" engraved on the left of the slide. Is it a series 70 or 80? Any and all info would be appreciated. It is NIB and unfired. Is it a collectible, any weaknesses I should look for? Does it have any inherent accuracy potential?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. I believe the your Colt is a Series 80. A call to Colt with the serial number will give you the date of manufacture (1 800 962 Colt). Accuracy potential is better told by you and some range time. All Colts have a degree of collectibility.

Thanks for the input. Mine is definitely not a 1991A1, like the one on gunbroker, but thanks for the suggestion. I'll try calling Colt directly, thanks again for the help.

Pics would help as well as a call to Colt...
