Opinions re: Storm Lake Barrel Kits

Hi,

I am looking for a pre-fit barrel kit for my 1911 project. I have no 1911 smithing experience so drop-in-and-work is important.

I am looking at the Storm Lake "1911 AUTO PRE-FIT BARREL KIT" Brownells part # 842-100-045. Price is $154.55.

Has anyone used one of these? Please let me know. Any experiences with similar Storm Lake products appreciated.

I have not used Storm Lake. I have used the Jarvis made "match barrel" from Dan Wesson (www.danwessonfirearms.com (http://www.danwessonfirearms.com)) with good success. You will need to fit a barrel bushing.
