Went in to my local shop to pick up a SIG I had on consignment and put some money down on the EB Kobra Carry I had on layaway, when the owner walks me to the 1911 case and stands there grinning like a fool. The DW bobtail commander I have been waiting for him to get in, for 6 or months, had finally arrived. After examining both pistols side by side, I bought the DW and put the Ed Brown back in the case.

Took the DW out to the range immediately and put 100 trouble free rounds through it with ZERO problems of any sort, and was simply amazed at its accuracy. I then took it home for a good cleaning and inspection. I am impressed. For less than half the price of the Kobra Carry, the DW will give it a run for its money accuracy wise. The EB is still a better looking pistol IMO, but I really just dont have the funds for one at this point. I dont feel like I comprimised or took second best at all, am very pleased. Am now waiting for a checkerd MSH and ambi safety to arrive and then it will be perfect. Will post more range reports as round count climbs.

I really like that gun. I have debated on getting one for too long. I am going to try and get out this weekend and look at one and maybe bring it home.

An excellent pistol. From time to time I toy with the idea of adding one of these to the arsenal, but I need another gun about as much as I need an aneurysm.

Need has absolutely nothing to do with another pistol coming home!! ;)
The wife doesnt need any more shoes or purses but those seem to follow her home, luckily she understands that from time to time a pistol follows me home. Needless to say, she was happy that this one and not the Ed Brown came home, and I am pleased as well.
