Took my RIA out to the the range for the 3rd time. Used factory Win 230gr FMJ offhand from about 30 feet (see pic). Have not modified the gun in any way (yet).

Not bad if I do say so myself, except for 2 fliers. These guns out of the box, and for the money, amaze me! Also the customer service you get here from Ivan, Automag and everyone associated with Armscor also amazes! Check out these grips from Automag, another customer service pro and great guy.

I have a BTS and a new hammer and sear on the way from Wilson that I can't wait to install. For any newbies looking for info about an RIA, if the guns were junk, they would still be worth buying just for the CS. The fact is they are great quality guns for very low prices. If my gun continues to shoot like this I may buy it dinner and drinks next. http://forum.m1911.org/newthread.php#

I tell ya, I love these RIA's
We bought 2 because we needed something affordable and shootable.
We got SO much more then expected!!!
Both pistols have been awesome (well a hitch in one, but its figured out now) and they shoot great when we do out part!!!
Every other 1911 I get I plan on it bein an RIA!!
I also recommend these to ANYONE who wants a 1911 and let everyone know about the awesome customer service!!!
RIA ROCKS!! (pardon the pun)
Nic

Edit-GREAT shoooting, dang I need to practice more

Not much surprises me in the field of new guns, but, I must say, the RIA has been the best bargains to come along in quite a while.

Nice shootin', WilM

Don't you hate those fliers??
I've done a little rest shooting with mine and put several in the same hole.
Just when I think, "wow! this will will be my best group ever!"
One or two of those fliers will open up the spread

I've been well pleased with the accuracy of my GI

Saw them at the last Crossroads show here in April for right around $400 and was real tempted. Bought a 30-30 and a bunch of ammo instead but I still want to add one to my collection. Glad to hear they go "bang" when you pull the trigger, too.
