finally fired my colt

took it to the range about a week ago and put 50 rounds of win FMJ thru it, 0 problems/malfunctions as expected. i am pretty impressed with the 38 super, recoil seemed half that of my 45's. im so impressed im thinking about buying a XSE commander lightweight in 38 super for a carry gun. and a 9x23 barrel... :) after shooting it im surprised the 38 super isnt more popular outside the competition world.

Hey, Slimbo! What model do you have? And pictures would be nice as well! I've really warmed up to the Super .38 but only have it in the Lightweight Commander version. Fun to shoot!

its the bright stainless custom. i had kicked around the idea of getting something in 38 super for a while and im glad i finally did.

The all steel 5" pistol definitely helps with the recoil, but the LTW Commander is still no problem.

Great looking pistol, that one is on my short list!
