I have a Series 80 SS Officer's ACP that the frame was "modified" for a beaver tail grip safety. It was not done too nice to say the least. It functions perfect and I have over 5k rounds thru it. I have been reading various posts where material was added [welded] then bought back to spec.
Would this be possible with SS? Would it be cheaper to find a SS frame that has already been modified [correctly] or that can be? I want to stay Colt since the slide is.
