Welcome to the forum! Post a picture when you get one. It's probably not bad, most Colt's are more than that. How much was it fired and did someone do any work to it?

the only work that i can tell is a trigger job, new hammer and night sights, i wish i had a picture but its at a local shop and its been there a while
is 660.00 a good deal or to high?
From the serial number I believe that it is a Lightweight Commander,i.e. with an aluminum frame. Not necessarily a problem, but some people do not like them.
I have both an Officers Model and a Commander with aluminum frames and find nothing wrong with them, but I do have to be careful which mags I use. The wrong mag ( actually the wrong follower) will scar the ramp.
I will be solving that problem with new followers from the Checkmate group buy.

Larry Starling or Paul will be around soon, they really know what Colt's should sell for.

You have a Lightweight Commander that was made between 1970-1983.
Some people call this a series 70 commander. It was offered in 7.65(.30 luger),9mm para, .38 super, or .45 ACP.
9mm 100%=$950+ , .38super/.45 acp 100%= $995+ , 7.65 100% = $2500.
So yes asking price seems fair. But beware as others have stated its not in original condition.... :o

R.L. Wilson stops at 1978 production. The last # he lists is CLW032800 as the start of 1978, so this one is somewhere between 1978-1983. Obviously not all original-spur vs. rowel hammer, different trigger, etc, etc--$660 should still be a decent price.

Check the frames feedramp, make sure no one has messed with it.
660 is good, but it's obviously not original........

I would be concerned that the changes you see may mean additional changes inside. The sights suggest the slide may have been hacked. I would have to tear it down and look at it hard before I would buy it at all.
