Man, gorgeous is right!...Nope haven't, but I have shot many a Colt Super. Really the differences in the polished and matte, or blue are asthetics. If you like shooting light recoil 1911's, you will like a 5" Super. It's one of my all time favorite calibers. Loaded properly, she'll push 1400+fps with 125gr. bullets. Routinely, most of the factory stuff is 130gr. at around 1250fps; much like a 9mm +P. Just curious, how's the price/ availability on .38 Super ammo in Belgium?

Hi Mitchjoe,

Very rare ammunition. Available are Winchester Silvertip HP @ EUR 20.- per box and FMJ @ EUR 15,- per box

It looks like the caliber is being re-issued with a couple of famous manufacturers (Colt,Springfield,STI,..) mostly for competition guns and thus associated reloading.

As to factory ammo, I suppose if comp guns are a success, mass production ones could follow the trend, who knows ?
