I would like to know if safetylock on springfield arms 1911 45 is removed the same as the colt series 80.. as it seems to be hard to remove and didnt want to damage..

Are you talking about the ILS or the thumb safety? The ILS in the Springfield is a different monster that the Series 80 trigger parts in Colt.
