I have a Kimber Pro Carry with an alloy frame. It is my understanding that an alloy frame CAN'T be properly fit to the slide.
Is this correct??
If it can’t will the Keiger rails do the job instead??
How will the Kreiger rails wear compared to a steel frame and slide fit??

Please go further into detail. How is it not suppose to "not correctly fit"? There are different ways to tighten slide / frame fit.
I guess my question is, do you have a problem now? (Remember, I come from the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" group).

I understand that you can't tighten the slide to frame with an alloy frame. It ain't broke, but I'm in the process of making some reliability and accuracy improvements, and improving the slide to frame fit is one of the improvements I want to make.

Is this a gun you bought new? Maybe Kimber can help with that step.

So, you're not familiar with the Keiger rails, and how they may be a substitute for a tightened slide to frame on an alloy frame???

I am familiar with them, but I've never used them. I wonder with the alloy frame though. They have to drill holes in the frame for the rails to mount, I don't know if that would compromise the frame rails.

That's a very good question. I, too, am wondering if it will "compromise" or degenerate the frame to point, where when worn, that’s it, nothing more can be done except buy a new frame.
I called Krieger and asked if he’s put rails on an alloy frame and he told me he has done that before, but he did not say or explain any consequences of doing that.
