I finally have the money to buy a CBOB .45 and now I can't find one! I really want the 2007 model because of the finer checkering, but all I can find locally is a 2005 model (priced at $1,015). I held it and the checkering was very rough. It would be okay for occasional sessions, but a trip to Gunsite or a similar course would cost me some skin.

Does anyone know of a 2007 CBOB in .45acp for sale? I'd prefer one in California, but I've got an FFL dealer lined up for an out-of-state transfer if I need it.

keep your eyes out for one at Galleryofguns.com. if they get one in your local gun shop should be able to get one from davidson's gallery of guns when they get them back in stock.

also, the cool thing about gallery of guns is that you can have them email you when they get the gun in stock. this is nice because you don't have to go to there website everyday to see if they got the gun in that you want, they just contact you.

oh, and also the prices look high because they show the listing price of the gun, but your local dealer will be able to get you the gun for less then what is listed. i payed 859$ and another awesome thing is davidson backs your gun up with a lifetime replacement plan for FREE!!! that means if anything happens to your gun while you own it just send it back and davidson will fix it if they can, if not they get you a new one. that deal sure beats the 5 years warranty that CZ gives ya.

I got mine a couple weeks ago from Bud's Gun Shop, but it looks like they don't have them anymore. I think I got the last one, sorry 'bout that.

Mine's a 2007 model, and I got it for about $855 all shipped and transferred.

The checkering on mine feels nice at 25lpi, I think the older ones are 20lpi.

I love mine, good luck finding one for yourself. I know you'll be happy when you do:)

Good luck with that. I've had mine ordered since March 5th.

I finally found a late 2006 CBOB NIB with 25lpi checkering at Powderhorn Outdoor Sports Center in Williston, Vermont. The guys I talked to were really great and even verified the frontstrap checkering for me. The price of the gun was $885 + $30 shipping. I can hardly wait to get it! The only drawback is shipping via priority mail from Vermont is going to take at least a week, then I have the 10-day waiting period to go through, but at least I know it has my name on it. :D

Hi, I just called CZ customer service, was told in a week or two.

I also asked of the Mainspring housing could be installed or purchased with the 20 lpi as the front strap, was then given the number to Norwich, NY at:607/336-1174.

I also have an order in for one, now I have to find a new home of a few others.

Correction of my prior post, I received the 20 lpi checkering of the front strap from the CZ-Dan Wesson website here:

http://www.cz-usa.com/product_detail.php?id=66

In asking Keith Lawton, DW production manager about reading conflicting post here saying 25 lpi on the MSH and asking for a factory ambi-safety along with undercutting below the trigger guard above the front strap checkering (as for me it would add just a little higher grip) also, the vertical lines above the horizontal lines give that area an unfinished appearance, along with having the mainspring housing checkered, same as front.

I currently have a CBOB Classic on order with a Dealer, Keith's reply was:

Rich,
I don't know if your gun is in production. I have hundreds on back order. I can give your dealer a price and we can do it that way if you like. You can order anytime. When the gun gets done is subject to when we are running a batch. Checkering is 25 LPI on all 2007 models.

So, 25 lp on the front strap, in a prior reply from Keith about the Mainspring housing:

Rich,
You can special order one but I cannot do the checkered mainspring housing.

So, Ed Brown has the Checkered at $ 75.95, pretty simple to install.

As for my other request, it would be nice to have what you want, by the factory, however I will hold off as I don't want to slow down production as it appears, DW is on the "Lean System".

I hope we all get one in our hands soon, although it will be well worth the wait!

Have you tried Gunsamerica.com, there is an FFL dealer (GUNS4SALE) that is in FL, I got my c-bob there about a year ago. Not sure what year they are but he is advertising a 10mm and a .45 for $900 and $875 respectively.

Yes, I tried them, but their models were the 2006 models and at the time I wasn't aware that some of the '06 models had the 25lpi checkering that I was looking for. I finally found one in Vermont set up the way I want it for $855.

By the way, if anyone else is thinking of going with the FL dealers, I found them to be very polite and helpful over the phone. :)

Have one on order with Buds, great to deal with, best price I could find, thought about the 10mm as those are in stock.

Really want a current (brand new) production model. Previously waited 6 months for some custom work I had done with Magna Port, well worth the wait.

I got mine from Bud's a few weeks ago, at a slightly better price than they are now, and they were great to deal with. From the time I placed my order, sent them a money order, and picked up my pistol, the total amount of time passed was exactly one week. I sent a money order on a Tuesday, and had it in my hands the next Monday. I couldn't be happier with the experience.

After I bought mine they listed them as special order only, and raised the price a little ($12 or so). Sorry about taking the last one around. :o

By the way, mine was made in February '07.

I talked to my gun dealer today and said that as of 4/17/07 cz had 4 in stock that were getting shipped out, and there were a whopping 282 guns on order hope that you find one or that you are low on the list. I know ive got a good spot in line!

I just bought one at Shooters Supply in Louisville, KY. It had to go back in for service, but they did a good job in a reasonable time. Very accurate and quite smooth. They have one more new one in stock.

My pistol arrived at the FFL dealer's and I went to inspect it and do the paperwork to start the 10-day waiting period. My CBOB is a 2006 model, but with the 25lpi checkering instead of the coarser 20lpi checkering. It felt great in my hands and I can hardly wait to pick it up. I've already got 300 rounds of ammo ready for its first outing, as well as three new Kimber Kimpro TacMags with bumper pads and a set of Davidson Horned Lizard grips on the way.

The Davidson grips arrived. They look great! I can hardly wait to put them on the gun. I should be able to pick my CBOB up on Friday. I'll post pics as soon as I can.
