Hi all. I've got a pair of 1911's (one RIA, one SA) and would like to put the same grips on both of them. I'm most interested in WWII era standard issue mil-spec grips. I don't, however, want to pay the premium for an original set. Does anyone out there make reproduction grips to WWII specs?

Many thanks. These forums have been a great source of info over the past few months. :)

Thanks, OD, but I saw those. I can't really justify spending $60+ per pair when I could get reproductions for half the cost.

Anyone have any suggestions on good reproduction mil-spec grips? No company logos, no "U.S." logo, just plain ol' checkered grips that look like the ones issued in WWII.

Ahh, you can get "real" GI stocks for $10?
