Any word on Ambi-safety for GSR?

My one complaint about the Sig line is the lack of an ambi-safety on the Sig 1911 line. I have a GSR Revolution and C3. I have to shoot left handed since being shot in the hand on the job several years ago, and until SigArms comes out with the ambi-saftey it keep's promising, "in a month or so" I can't carry my favorite M1911.
So does anyone with some pull at SigArms have any word on when they will actually start selling them to us? :butthead:

Did you try calling them. If your LEO - contact LEO dept of Sig - You never know what can be done..

I haven't seen any for sale but I believe Longslide has had some put on and my stock STX has the ambisafety from the factory...doesn't look like anything different than the one added to my Kimber...good luck from another SouthPaw.

I put an ambi on my GSR. Took all of about 15 minutes. Customer service doesn't seem to be a high priority at Sig anymore

When I mentioned adding a set, they metioned "voiding the warranty". So I decided to wait the "month" or so and see what came up. I do like the safety they have, so I'm hoping they come out PDQ?

well--since they refused to honor their warranty on my pistol before I did anything to it, I figure that it's a moot point.

(and it's not like you're altering anything on the pistol--all the fitting would be done to the aftermarket safety...this sounds like typical Sig bovine feces to me)

Who has an ambi safety that most closely resembles the Sig safety with it's upsweep?

Ambi on the SIG - not available through customer service at this time so I have been told.

I have the King's because I like the King's - any ambi config would work - Wilson - Ed Brown -STI - etc.

The SIG pistol I saw in a store had a Cylinder & Slide ambi on it.

After purchase ambi add on by sig is not available at this time so I have been told.

The ambi comes on the STX model from the factory.
